Stacy Niedzwiecki started her career as a graphic and web page designer, winning numerous competitions. Four years ago, she expanded into digital imaging. After earning several awards for her nature photography, she began showing her work publicly in 2006.
Stacy began her studies in traditional illustration and graphic design at Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Afterwards, she served six years in the Army Reserves as an illustrator and graphics specialist.
Following her military service, she studied computer graphic design, earning a certificate in Electronic Publishing by completing courses in web page design, digital photo retouching and page layout. While working for the Amway Corporation in marketing, photography and employee communications, she was chosen to design the corporate internal communications intranet.
Eight years ago, she launched her successful freelance business. Stacy offers innovative design solutions for a wide variety of clients in the West Michigan area in addition to serving as webmaster for several organizations, including the Village and the Township sites of Sparta, Michigan, and her latest project - enjoyNature.org.
Although her core skills are principally focused on graphic design and layout, Stacy now leverages her talents in digital photography and digital art. Her fascination with nature's beauty has found its way through the camera lens, earning awards in many art and photography competitions. Her work has been featured in the Michigan 24/7 photography book, Whisper in the Woods Nature Journal, Michigan Blue magazine, and the Explore St. Louis Official Visitors' Guide.
Her most recent recognition is the installation of 46 of her nature images at the permanent art collection in the new Grand Rapids Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion, which opens June 30, 2008.

Oh my goodness...our dogs DO look alike! They are about the same size and both have that darker yellow coloring around the ears, too. Buster is very cute. I love his very black nose! Thanks for the adorable photo!

Hi Stacy! My dog, Gracie, is a mixed breed dog...Not sure what! She wiggled her way into my heart and home because she reminded us of (a smaller version) our first dog, Marty, who was a Samoyed/yellow lab mix...However, Gracie is most likely a mix of golden retriever and perhaps an American Eskimo...She has that great Am Esk curly-q tail (I call her a cheerleader because of her tail). She's about 40 pounds, but it feel like 80 when she pulls on her leash...Dogs are great, aren't they?!!!
Just letting you all know about an event next Wednesday evening - I will be presenting a slide show of photography at the Lake Bluff Audubon Society on Wednesday, May 14th at 7 pm. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend!
