Manistee Dog Park

Manistee does have a wonderful dog park! It was started by some adorable young girls who approached City Council, and how in the world could they say no to little girls AND puppy dogs?!! So we have a dog park. Originally it was a snow-fenced area behind Lighthouse Park. Now it is a fenced in area across from the Rocket Park area (sort of by tennis courts/1st Street). We use the park frequently. It is a city park...people come in with their dogs and they are supposed to clean up after them...but that does not always happen...so some of us spend a little time "cleaning up" whatever we find while our dog run and sniffs around the park. I have made some nice friends via the dog park, and so has Gracie!

I'm all for a dog park. I am sick of hauling those Manistee 300 pounders out to the Boone Docks to do my biz.

It seems like there is always someone at the dog park! Even in the winter.
